Shameless Audiocast 003 Mozaic

Mozaic Esthetic

Longtime Shameless fans will know of our not-so-secret love affair with the veteran San Francisco-based producer, vocalist, and DJ Mozaic, who has rocked the decks at many of our events over the years. He is a true DJ’s DJ, with a highly eclectic ear for all manner of sexy house and techno, and a favorite of everyone in our crew. We are delighted to have him back to headline our Shameless Hijinks event at the Monkey Loft on Friday, 01/23.

In honor of this illustrious occasion, we are releasing our third Shameless Audiocast podcast, a live take of Mozaic’s sunrise closing set from Esthetic Evolution 2013. Shameless member Devin Kelly (AKA Adlib) is the co-producer of Esthetic, and Shameless was intimately involved with the festival for its duration. It was a huge honor for us to get Mozaic on the bill that year, and a privilege to revisit that set with our fans today! It was an absolutely perfect way to end the festival, and a great segue into next week’s party! Listen, share and get down.

FREE “Bacon Jam” remixes from Joe Bellingham and Devin Kelly

Monday, December 22nd, 2014

sa003A

In true holiday spirit, Shameless Audio is giving away two previously unreleased remixes of Luke Manda’s “Bacon Jam.” Joe Bellingham’s mix features his classic sexy, deep house vibe, this time with a heavy dose of oldschool Underworld sounds. Devin Kelly (AKA Adlib)’s “Mimosa Makeover” takes the track in a more acidy, morning tech house direction. Listen to them on Soundcloud!

Both tracks are totally appropriate for our upcoming annual daytime New Year’s Day deck party, The Breakfast Club,” at Seattle’s now legendary Monkey Loft. It seems only fitting, given that the original Bacon Jam premiered at the Decibel edition of the Breakfast Club back in September, where headliner Christian Martin blew the party out of the water with his remix of the track. You can find Luke Mandala’s original and the Christian Martin remix on Beatport!

TBCNYD will be headlined by Christian’s dirtybird label-mate, Worthy, with a ton of great NW supporters and Joe, Devin and the rest of the Shameless gang opening the deck up at 5am. Come early and stay laaaaate.

Shameless members Joe Bellingham, Adlib and Gato Negro are joining some of Seattle’s best and brightest DJs at the Starborne stage of this year’s Hempfest, running August 15th-17th, 2014. Hempfest is the “world’s largest cannabis law reform event.” This year should be an affair to remember, given the huge reforms that have taken place in Washington since 2012.

We invite all of you to join in celebrating with us at this year’s “protestival,” and want to use it as an opportunity to thank our most committed supporters. We will be playing from 2pm-5pm on Saturday, August 16th. The first five people to take pictures of themselves with Joe Bellingham, Adlib or Gato Negro at the Starborne stage during our showcase and post it to our Facebook group will win free admission to the Breakfast Club, our insanely awesome annual daytime party, this time smack dab in the middle of Decibel Festival weekend!* The very first person will get some free Shameless swag, too (that’s promotional material, not the other stuff). Links for the Breakfast Club and our Facebook group are below.

Hempfest is world’s largest cannabis law reform event. Our good friends at Starborne Shows have taken over the mantle from Dancesafe in running one of the event’s TWO electronic music areas (the other hosted by Bassdrop). Starborne will also be hosting showcases by our friends with innerflight, High and Tight, Deep N Bass, Uniting Souls, Flammable and Decibel. In other words, some of Seatlte’s finest purveyors of dance music shenanigans. It should be all sorts of fun!

To check out the Breakfast Club (featuring Christian Martin, Luke Mandala, Codebase and many more), please click here!.

*We will only give out a total of five tickets and they will be first tag, first serve. This includes people in group shots.

Shameless taking Photosynthesis 7.0 by Storm!

Saturday, July 12th, 2014

(click the picture for more information)

Shameless is proud to once again be reppin’ hard at the Photosynthesis festival, Washington’s favorite underground gathering of hippies, ravers and freaky festie kids. We have a long commitment to the event, and co-produced its now legendary third year at the Dragonsphere Event Center in Randall. This year, Photo is wrapping up three inspiring years at the Hobuck Beach Resort on the Makah Indian Reservation and moving to a virgin venue, the Masonic Family Park, a gorgeous, sprawling, tree and creek-covered property just over an hour outside of Seattle. Prepare to be blown away!

Shameless residents Joe Bellingham and Adlib will both be performing prominent sets at this year’s festival. Joe will be playing a live project with a few exciting surprises at 3:00 am on Saturday night. Adlib will be playing the main stage at 10:15 pm on Friday, the first 4/4 set of the weekend. They are joining headliners such as Mikael Stavostrand, KiloWatts, Jay Tripwire, the Flashbulb, Ben Annand, Halo Refuser, and Shameless friends from throughout the Northwest and beyond.

General admission tickets are $145 for three nights of music and are going like hotcakes!. There is also a $20 parking fee and optional car camping. Photosynthesis encourages people to carpool, leave no trace and respect your fellow festival attendees.

The Stranger Suggests “Bullshit-Free Techno & House”

Tuesday, June 24th, 2014

Deepchild

We’re of course honored to have our little record release party featured in The Stranger’s coveted “Suggests” section. Many thanks for the local publication for the love. Hope to see you out this Friday June 27th!

Read on or click here to check it out…

What: House music that really means it and nothing else
Where: Kremwerk
Who suggests it: Emily Nokes
Why: Since our resident electronic-music expert Dave Segal is on vacation, I thought I would step into his vegan running shoes for the week and get my zeros and ones on. I remember he once described Deepchild as “bullshit-free techno and house,” and though my ears are not expert in this genre, the glowing warm space sounds oozing through a shimmering matrix of rhythm do, indeed, seem free of bullshit. Tonight celebrates the release of Seattle producer Codebase’s Down for the Count (on local label Shameless Audio), on which Deepchild, Distal, Aur0ra, and Adlib are featured. Plus, doesn’t Kremwerk seem neat? (Kremwerk, 1809 Minor Ave, kremwerk.com, 9 pm, 21+)

Video from ETG Closing Party!

Sunday, January 12th, 2014

The Shameless Social on November 23rd, 2013, was both the end of an era and a party for the record books. We spent over twelve hours saluting the legendary Electric Tea Garden, the longest lasting underground venue in Seattle dance music history. It was by far the most packed, crazy event in ETG’s almost 20 year history and a great send-up featuring friends old and new. The party started out strong and the dance floor was packed well before 11pm. It ended with bittersweet stories, smiles and tears from everyone in Shameless and ETG’s truly committed staff. Local videographer Cameron Jessup was able to capture some great footage of the peak hours at the event, including MC Anton Bomb performing over Adlib, our surprise impromptu marching band performance, and a glimpse of the mighty Donald Glaude, our surprise headliner for the night. Check it out!

Special thanks to Donald Glaude, Luke Mandala, Bad Pioneer and Nark for joining us on the decks, to ETG’s amazing staff and crew for all the years of hard work and, last but not least, to all the partiers and dancers out there who have supported both ETG and Shameless for so long. We love each and every one of you.

Beats, Booze, Bacon and The Breakfast Club!

Thursday, December 27th, 2012

Heheheheheh

This is Shameless HQ writing to remind all you Seattle freaks of where you should be spending your New Year’s Day. Whether you rest all of New Year’s Eve, get way too wasted before midnight and pass out in a gutter, party with Innerflight ’til the breaka-breaka dawn or are STILL UP from last weekend’s Shameless “Social” monthly, you would do yourself a favor by stumbling on over to the Electric Tea Garden, getting yourself an ice cold beverage, writing/speaking run-on sentences, and listening to some hot as hell dance music at about 6am until the wee hours of the afternoon on New Year’s Day. That’s right, we’re presenting another edition of our now infamous Breakfast Club party, featuring food, booze and two areas of music insanity from 6am-4pm.

For those of you were there last year, this should be a no-brainer. For those of you who weren’t, you’ll just have to come see if all the rumors are true. Will there be more phenomenal sets by some of Seattle’s favorite dance music legends? Definitely! Will there be incredibly awesome performance art? You betcha!… although this time it will be by Gaydolf and the Golden Showers, as Tons of F***ing Sequins are now signed to a major label and way out of our league… Will a man strangely resembling Zach Galifinakis blow us all away with his unique and only slightly creepy brand of awesomeness? Hopefully! Will Principal Vernon show up? Probably not. Will there be a metric shit-ton of bacon? Probably yes. Will there be at least some bacon? MOST DEFINITELY! Will there be booze-a-plenty? YES! It will be flowing like Manna from heaven (or, at least, from ETG’s exceptionally competent and tolerant bar staff)!!! Will Adlib be playing another exceptionally rad closing set? No… alas, he can’t make it, as he will be on a plane to Hawaii… but that means you guys all just have to get twice as stupid for him!

We guess at some point we should stop writing and share the details. Well, for those of you still around, here they are!

The Breakfast Club – New Year’s Day Party!
